Can I get lost doing the cryptic chase?

Yes, of course you can, but isn’t that part of the adventure? If you're not back in the expected time, we will come looking for you. The Cryptic Chase takes place in a relatively contained area.

What should I wear for cryptic chase?

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking or running. Weather-appropriate attire is recommended, as the activity takes place outdoors. Wellie hire is also available.

Can we still do cryptic chase if the weather is bad?

Cryptic Chase is an outdoor activity and can be enjoyed in most weather conditions. However, in the case of extreme weather, we may reschedule the session for safety reasons.

Is cryptic chase wheelchair or pram friendly?

Unfortunately, cryptic chase is not wheelchair or pram friendly. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Is cryptic chase dog friendly?

Unfortunately, you cannot take your dog into the deer park, but you can bring them for any activities not in that area of the castle grounds.

Do I need to accompany my kids?

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, with one adult for every six children in a group.

An excellent day out with Marc. We completed a Cryptic Chase as a family around the beautiful grounds of Ripley castle and then did an archery session as a family. Marc was knowledgeable, friendly and made everything a lot of fun. Don’t hesitate to book with this lovely local business to get the most out of the area.

Our children had loads of fun doing the challenging 'Cryptic Chase' around the gardens of the Castle. A great way to see the grounds & enjoy the challenge of cracking the clues. We followed this with an hilariously fun time in the 'Zorbs'. Games & acrobatics overseen by instructor Daz. Daz was brilliant at ensuring they all had a great time.
