Our privacy policy, cookie policy and GDPR Policy.
Privacy Policy
Live For Today LTD (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information and being clear about how we use it.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit our website at https://live-for-today.com, make a booking, contact us, subscribe to our marketing or otherwise use our services.
Live For Today LTD is the controller responsible for the personal information covered by this policy. Our company number is 07555704.
If you have questions about this policy or your personal information, email privacy@live-for-today.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We collect personal information that you give us when you make an enquiry, book our services, subscribe to our emails, provide feedback or otherwise contact us.
Depending on your interaction with us, this may include:
Your name and email address.
Information you provide in enquiries, correspondence and feedback.
Information associated with your bookings, orders and payments.
Your marketing preferences.
Please provide accurate information and let us know if it changes.
Payment information
Payments are handled by our payment and booking providers. Our booking provider, Rezdy, processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy notice, available at https://rezdy.com/privacy-policy/.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:
Your IP address, browser type, operating system and device information.
The pages you visit, the features you use and the dates and times of your visits.
Referring websites and links.
Technical logs, diagnostic information and error reports.
We use this information to operate and secure our website, understand how it is used and improve our services.
We also use cookies and similar technologies, as explained in section 5.
Email delivery, opens and link clicks
We use our email and customer relationship management systems to record whether emails we send are delivered, opened and whether links within them are clicked. These records may be linked to your email address and customer record.
Open tracking may use a small invisible image, sometimes called a tracking pixel or web beacon. Link tracking may use a link that passes through our email provider before taking you to the intended page.
We use this information to understand whether our messages are reaching people, measure engagement and improve the relevance and effectiveness of our communications.
Open and click records are not always accurate. Email privacy features, image blocking and automated security checks can affect the results.
Where tracking requires consent, we will ask for it before using that tracking. You can withdraw any consent you have given by contacting privacy@live-for-today.com. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each message.
Blocking remote images in your email application may reduce open tracking, but does not necessarily prevent link tracking.
2. How and why we use your information
We use personal information to:
Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
Arrange, deliver and manage bookings, orders and payments.
Send booking confirmations, service updates and other administrative messages.
Request feedback and improve our services.
Send marketing communications in accordance with your preferences and applicable law.
Measure email delivery and engagement, as described above.
Understand website usage and assess the effectiveness of our marketing.
Deliver relevant advertising, subject to applicable consent requirements.
Maintain security, prevent fraud and investigate technical problems.
Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
3. Our lawful bases
Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information.
Depending on the purpose, we rely on:
Contract: where processing is necessary to take steps you request before a booking or to provide services under a contract with you.
Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary to run and improve our business, respond to enquiries, maintain security or manage customer relationships, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Consent: where you have agreed to a particular use of your information, including marketing or tracking where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation: where we need to keep records, respond to lawful requests or otherwise comply with the law.
Vital interests: where processing is necessary to protect someone’s life.
Where electronic marketing or tracking rules require consent, we do not rely on legitimate interests as a substitute for that consent.
4. Who we share information with
We may share personal information with providers that help us operate our business, including:
Booking and payment providers.
Email delivery, customer relationship management and marketing providers, including 53°.
Website hosting, IT support and security providers.
Analytics, advertising and social media providers, where applicable.
Accounting and finance providers.
Our email providers may process recipients’ names, email addresses, message content and delivery, open and click records on our behalf.
Where providers act as our processors, they must handle personal information under our instructions and appropriate contractual protections.
We may also share information with professional advisers, regulators, courts or other authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims.
If our business is sold, merged or reorganised, personal information may be shared as part of that process, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar technologies to operate our website, remember preferences, understand usage and support marketing.
Some technologies are necessary to provide services you request. Where other technologies require consent, we will ask for it before using them.
You can manage website cookies through the choices available on our website and your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
Website cookie choices do not necessarily control tracking within emails. Email tracking is explained in section 1.
Further information is available in our Cookie Notice at https://live-for-today.com/legal/cookies-policy.
6. International processing
Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
Where this happens, we must ensure that an appropriate legal transfer mechanism is in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.
Contact privacy@live-for-today.com for information about the safeguards relevant to your personal information.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including relevant legal, accounting and reporting requirements.
The appropriate period depends on the type of information, why we need it, our relationship with you and any legal requirements.
Email engagement records are subject to this same approach and are not kept indefinitely simply because tracking is available.
If you unsubscribe from marketing, we may retain a limited record of your preference so that we can respect it.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. Where immediate deletion from backups is not possible, we protect the information until it can be deleted through the normal backup cycle.
8. Keeping information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
However, no website, electronic communication or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children’s information
We do not knowingly direct marketing to children under 18.
Where a parent, guardian or organiser provides information about a child in connection with our services, this policy applies to how we handle that information.
If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us without appropriate involvement from a parent or guardian, please contact privacy@live-for-today.com.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
Access your personal information and receive a copy.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Ask us to delete information.
Ask us to restrict how we use information.
Receive certain information in a portable format.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Exercise applicable rights relating to solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
You can object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time, including related profiling.
These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law.
To make a request, email privacy@live-for-today.com or visit https://live-for-today.com/legal/data-request.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. We normally respond within one month, subject to any extensions or adjustments permitted by law.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it.
11. Marketing choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in each email or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential communications about an existing booking, payment, enquiry or service.
To ask about email tracking or withdraw tracking consent, contact privacy@live-for-today.com.
12. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle personal information, please contact us so we can try to resolve them.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, practices or legal obligations change.
We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
