Do we have to book in advance?

You are required to book in advance for all of our events, unless stated otherwise.

Is there an age limit?

The minimum age for our Brimham Rocks Adventure days is eight years old.

Will I have to get to the top?

As much as we know you will love the achievement of reaching the top of the rock, you will never be pressured to do something you don't want to. We run a challenge-by-choice policy, which means we will support you but not pressure you into anything you don't want to do. We pride ourselves on building great relationships with our customers and are happy for you to keep trying as many times as you like to reach the top.

Is there free parking?

As this is a National Trust site there is only free parking available to National Trust members. If you are not a member then parking fees will need to be paid.

What if I don't like it?

In the unlikely situation you don't enjoy rock climbing, then there are other things we can do. You can master the art of belaying at the bottom of the route, and we can also look to do some more bouldering / scrambling in the session. Our team are on hand to make sure your experience is the best it can possibly be.

Do I have to have experience in an activity before doing it?

No, all activities are designed to give the best experience whether you have done it before or not at all.

Yes! We love dogs, and they are welcome to come with you for your visit. Just make sure to keep them on a lead.

Here's how your 2.5-hour quest unfolds:

Round 1: Weaseling Wonders

Get your adrenaline pumping as you weasel through Brimham's iconic rocks like the Elevator and the Smarties Tube. Consider this your warm-up for the adventures ahead!

Round 2: Climb & Descend

Transition into climbing and abseiling on some of Brimham's most thrilling routes. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned climber, you'll learn the ropes—literally! Master the art of belaying and rope management under the watchful eye of our skilled instructors.

Suitable for adventurers aged 8 and up, this is the perfect escape for families and groups looking to make lifelong memories.

Went to the Brimham Rocks rock climbing session with my 9 year old on Saturday. Absolutely brilliant. The leaders were fantastic too. We had a great time and thought it was brilliant value. We’ll be back again and recommend. Thanks!
